A chiller door is opened dozens of times a shift. Each part below is a reason the room stays cold between openings.
A 60 or 80 mm polyurethane core keeps the warm loading bay out of the room, so the compressor runs less.
An EPDM gasket presses against the frame all round, stopping the leaks that cause frost on the evaporator and water on the floor.
Above 0°C the seal does not freeze, so a chiller door skips the heated frame a freezer door needs. That makes it lighter and less expensive to run.
Heavy-duty hinges or a sliding track carry crates, trolleys and pallet trucks without the leaf sagging off its seal.
Smooth PPGI or SS 304 skins take daily cleaning in food and dairy rooms, with no grooves where water and dirt can collect.
Every door is built to the measured opening, from a 750 mm staff door to a 3 m wide sliding door for forklifts.
Pick how goods move through the door. Each type opens differently and fits a different opening.
For people and crates. The everyday chiller door for staff carrying crates and pushing small trolleys. Easy to use in small and medium rooms.
For wide trolleys. Two leaves meet in the middle, so a trolley or roll cage can pass without one heavy leaf swinging into the aisle.
For pallet trucks. The leaf runs along the wall on a top track, so it needs no swing space in front. Suits pallet trucks and busy aisles.
For forklifts. A motor opens and closes the door on a pull cord, push button or sensor, so it is open only as long as traffic needs.
For passing goods. A small insulated opening for handing goods through or running a conveyor, without opening the whole room.

What a chiller door is built from, and the sizes we make it in.
Each one has its own temperature range and its own cleaning routine, and the door is specified to match.

Four steps, one team, from your first message to a door that closes on its seal.

Made in HosurEach door is manufactured to the approved size at our Hosur works in Tamil Nadu, part of the Alfa PEB group, making since 1992.
Delivered and fittedWe coordinate delivery and give installation support, so the leaf sits square and closes onto its seal.
A chiller room stays above 0°C, so the door needs a thinner leaf (usually 60 or 80 mm) and no heated frame. A freezer door runs below zero and needs a thicker leaf, a heater to stop the seal freezing shut, and often a pressure-relief port.
Hinged doors suit people, crates and small trolleys, and openings up to about one metre. Choose sliding when pallet trucks or forklifts go through, or when there is no room for a leaf to swing into the aisle.
60 mm PUF suits most chillers between +2°C and +10°C. Choose 80 mm for rooms near 0°C, for pharma stores, or where the door faces a hot, humid loading bay.
Ask us for a handle with an inside release, so the door always opens from inside the room even when it is locked from outside.
No. A strip curtain cuts the loss of cold air while the door is open, but only an insulated, sealed door holds the temperature overnight and when the room is closed.
